The Dover Demon

Only a handful of mysterious creature that could be connected to the world of cryptozoology and the world of UFOlogy as well. Dover Demon is one of them. But because the name was given by a cryptozoologist, the Dover Demon ultimately better known as the cryptid beings rather than aliens.
Unlike Nessie that have been seen during the span of about 1,500 years, the Dover Demon is only visible for 3 days. But it is enough to make this creature into the list of cryptid creatures in the world's most mysterious and the subject of cryptozoology research long enough to this day. Bill Bartlett Encounter
It all began on April 21, 1977, at 10:30 at night.

John Baxter's Encounter
2 hours later, not far from there, John Baxter, 15, and Pete Mitchell, 13, was walking back to his home after visiting a friend's house.
Suddenly, their eyes focused on a small figure seen in the distance. John thinks the figure is a friend who named Bouchard who is also small. So he called his name.
There was no response. John and Pete was approached.
The little figure then ran toward the ditch, stopped next to a tree and stood there a moment. That's when they both realized that the figure was not Bouchard.
"The creature was standing at a distance of about 15 feet from where I stood. We just stood there looking at him. I'm sure if the creature was looking at me." John said, remembering the events that night.
A few moments later the creature disappeared into the woods. John felt his heart beat faster. Then he ran to the Farm Street and returned to his home. That night, he drew sketches of the creature that he saw and it was similar to the sketch which was also drawn by Bill Bartlett.
The next day, two other witnesses also saw the creature's .
Abby Brabham Encounter
On the morning of April 23, 1977, Will Traintor, 18, was driving on Springdale Avenue to drove home his girlfriend, Abby Brabham, 15 years old.
While speeding car, she accidentally saw a strange creature standing on the left side of the highway.

When reports of this sighting gets to the authorities, Bartlett, Baxter, Brabham and Traintor give sketches being seen by them. And all sketchs shows a similar creature!
To reaffirm that experience, in his sketch, he wrote one sentence: "I'm Bill Bartlett, swear on the Bible if I actually saw the creature."

Not long after, the story of an encounter that reached the ears of Loren Coleman, a prominent Cryptozoologist who lived in the area. He then asked the UFO researchers named Walter Webb and Ed Fogg to investigate this case together.

After investigating for-days, they concluded that these witnesses did not reverse these sightings because they tell the same encounter with the creature, although not previously know each other.
Then Loren Coleman called this creature as the Dover Demon. The media loved it and the creature was getting its official name until now.
Until then, no one ever knows the creature's true identity.
What kind creature was it?
Some people believe that it is an alien creature from its resemblance to the creatures alien in UFO sightings. Others argue that the creature is probably a new species of animals that have not known, mutant or hybrid creatures.
Others even doubt the credibility of these appearances remember all the witnesses were teenagers. An example is the theory of Martin S. Kottmeyer. He believes that what was seen by the witnesses was actually just a young deer. The position of the eyes in his face, no nose and mouth, much like a young deer's head with a description.
